The challenge
Transformation works best when, from day one, the team is set up with strong governance: clear leadership, a risk and compliance lens, and a roadmap that connects deliverables to engagement. That’s where OCM comes in.
Our health client had an ambitious plan to revolutionise its approach to patient records and care and asked us to make sure they could deliver.
The client was moving from a fragmented system of more than 20 Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Patient Administration (PAS), and Pathology Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to a single, integrated platform. The legacy setup slowed care, complicated coordination, and increased risk. They were focused on delivering a system that would enable faster, safer, and more consistent care, regardless of physical location.
How we helped
We didn’t just audit; we partnered. We walked alongside the client to create a bespoke approach that gave them comfort that the program would deliver on time, on budget, and most importantly, improve patient care outcomes by:
- Assessing governance, documentation, risk management and alignment with the client's program framework.
- Building a tailored foundation to set the team up for success, including risk registers, roles and responsibilities, change and communication plans, and benefit realisation tools.
- Designing and delivering actionable recommendations, gap analyses, and regular reviews to keep the program on track and accountable.
Results that matter
Our client was comfortable the ambitious transformation it had promised was underpinned by robust program and risk governance. They were able to communicate to stakeholders with clarity, confidence and assurance.
Together, we laid the groundwork for a platform that will improve patient care and service delivery for decades to come.
